Over 4 kilometers, from Rigi Burggeist to Gschwend, sledding enthusiasts get their money's worth. The start is at 1551 meters above sea level, at Rigi Burggeist. Via Gätterli Pass, the slope runs down to Gschwend, where the Obergschwend-Rigi Burggeist cable car takes the sledders back to Rigi Burggeist.
No prior experience is required for sledding, but consideration, quick reactions, good judgement, and good footwear are important for everyone's safety.

- Dogs are not allowed on the sledding trails.

Good winter equipment: clothing adapted to the weather, hiking shoes with good grip, gloves, helmet. You can rent sleds directly at the mountain station of the Obergschwend - Rigi Burggeist cable car.
Directions & Parking facilities
Via Brunnen - Gersau - Obergschwend. With the Obergschwend-Rigi Burggeist cable car to Rigi Burggeist or via Goldau with the Kräbel-Rigi Scheidegg cable car.
At the stations of the Kräbel-Rigi Scheidegg and Obergschwend-Rigi Burggeist cable cars, paid parking is available.

However, we recommend public transport instead of a car: Sit back, enjoy and do something good for the environment.
Rigi Burggeist, the starting point of the sledding slope, is accessible via Goldau with the Kräbel-Rigi Scheidegg cable car. The short walk from Rigi Scheidegg to Rigi Burggeist takes 15 minutes.
Additional information
For the sake of wildlife: In winter, wild animals need quiet retreat areas to survive. Please stay on the sledding slope so that the wild animals are not disturbed.

A fine Gersau cheesecake as a refreshment in the mountain inn Rigi Burggeist must not be missing for me.
