This challenging route is suitable for summit seekers who enjoy putting in the mountain effort. From the pilgrimage site Rigi Klösterli with its impressive Baroque chapel, the path steadily ascends to Alp Schwändi. At Chäserenholz, you should definitely visit the local alpine herdsman and try his spicy Rigi cheese. The idyllic alpine inn invites you to a well-deserved break. Enjoy the view of the snowy mountain peaks before tackling the final ascent.
At the end, you reach Rigi Kulm, the highest point of the Rigi, where the panoramic views over the Swiss Plateau and the Alps richly reward the efforts of this summit hike.
