Rigi Kaltbad - Känzeli - Rigi Kulm - Chäserenholz - Rigi Klösterli

A route full of highlights. Queen Victoria of England was already impressed by the phenomenal view at Rigi Känzeli during her visit in 1868.

The hike starts at the "village square" Rigi Kaltbad. After the rock chapel, the level path from Rigi Kaltbad leads through shady forest areas, past interesting rock formations, to the Känzeli viewpoint. There, a majestic view opens up to Lake Lucerne and the crowning panorama of the Alps.

From here, you hike steadily uphill to Rigi Staffelhöhe. Another 100 vertical meters later, you reach Rigi Kulm on well-developed paths, the highest Rigi peak with a spectacular 360° panoramic view. When descending to Rigi Klösterli, you should definitely stop by the well-known alpine cheese dairy Chäserenholz and try the spicy alpine cheese. The path continues to Ober-Schwändi and finally to Rigi Klösterli. In Rigi Klösterli, a visit to the 300-year-old chapel "Maria zum Schnee" is worthwhile. The charming pilgrimage chapel is one of the most beautiful mountain chapels worldwide.
