Rigi Kaltbad – Rigi First – Unterstetten – Seeweg – Glettialp – Hinterbergen

The hike from Rigi Kaltbad leads flat along the former track of the Rigi-Kaltbad-Scheidegg-Bahn (1874 to 1931). From Rigi First you reach Unterstetten via the rock path.

Breathtaking views over vertical rock faces and enchanting nature characterize the Nature Treasures trail from Rigi Kaltbad to Hinterbergen. Throughout the route, the mighty Alpine peaks – partly covered with "eternal snow" – greet you from the horizon.

A large part of the path leads over lush alpine meadows. From Rigi First, 12 information boards provide insights into the biodiversity and natural treasures of the Rigi. Favored by the rock formations, natural history, and the mild lake climate, rich plant and animal life has developed on the south side of the Rigi. From Rigi Unterstetten follows a short ascent to the lakeside path, which leads always downhill via the Glettialp to Hinterbergen. Below lies Lake Lucerne with its unmistakable bays. From Hinterbergen, the aerial cableway takes you back to Vitznau.
