What is horse-assisted intervention/therapy?
In contrast to normal riding lessons, horse-assisted intervention (formerly therapeutic riding) is not primarily about learning how to handle horses and riding. The focus is on personal goals and supporting people in their development.
Educational lessons - no conventional riding lessons!
Fetching and preparing the horse, riding, leading, handling, caring for and rewarding the horse.
No conventional lessons. Main goal: building relationships, developing personal skills, building self-confidence - side effect can be learning to ride.
Age group: for all ages..... from toddlers to the end of life - individual support!
Target group: for all those who place the relationship with the horse in the foreground - no exclusive riding lessons.
Also for people with a handicap and light care requirements (without a therapeutic goal)
