The Weggis lido opened its doors in 1919. It was the first mixed lido in Switzerland. A pioneering achievement that was controversially discussed.100 years ago, it was by no means a given that women and men could enjoy bathing together. For some, the opening of the mixed-gender facility was a sensation, for others a scandal.
