The traces of "Filet of Soul" go back to the mid-1980s. The name was inspired by the jazz n' blues venue of the same name in New Orleans in the Bond film "Live and Let Die".
The seven-piece band from the Basel region is known for its unique mix of styles and songs. Familiar and unfamiliar melodies are interwoven and whisked together, resulting in surprising new creations. But not everything is freshly mixed. Many traditional songs are honoured with the most authentic rendition possible. In addition to jazz, pop, rock and Latin are also on the menu. Polyphonic vocals and a fine pinch of humour add to the overall musical experience.
