Sesshin literally means "collecting the heart spirit".
Sesshin leads from the outside to the inside, from acting to being and from knowing to recognizing. A deeper relationship with oneself does not mean a relationship with the everyday self, with which we normally identify, but with the living being that we are by nature, but which is usually concealed by our imprints.
Marcel Steiner received his teaching license and the Darma name Kyo-Sa from Niklaus Brantschen and Pia Gyger Roshi in 2009. This name means building bridges and this topic is his gift and task in very different areas, such as building bridges between spirituality and everyday life (or as it used to be called: "ora et labora") between men and women, Christian tradition and Zen Buddhism, crafts and studies, Portugal and Switzerland. www.marcelsteiner.com In the sesshin, Zen meditation (zazen) is practised for around 7 hours a day, with the individual meditation times being spread throughout the day with interruptions.
It is possible to skip individual parts.
The daily program includes a lecture (Teisho) and individual discussions.
Sun 6.30 pm to Sat 11 am
