The Blaukreuzmusik Herisau brass band is celebrating its 100th anniversary with an open-air concert at Rigi Kulm.
Look forward to marches, polkas, pop, and evergreens, and enjoy the music with a spectacular view.
The Blaukreuzmusik Herisau is currently on its anniversary tour. In 2026, the only Blaukreuzmusik in German-speaking Switzerland will celebrate its proud 100th anniversary. Since 1926, the association has been bringing brass music to the region, and for over 25 years it has performed in the style of a brass band. To mark this occasion, the ensemble is embarking on a wonderful tour through Switzerland, giving open-air concerts at various beautiful locations. One of these will take place at Rigi Kulm. As a Christian brass band, making music together is particularly close to the hearts of the approximately 20-member ensemble.
The focus is not on perfection or peak performance, but on the joy of music and being together. This spirit is palpable on stage. With passion and good cheer, the musicians perform a wide-ranging repertoire that offers something for every taste, from traditional marches and lively polkas to catchy pop and timeless evergreens. In short, they play whatever is fun. On this special afternoon, high above Lake Lucerne, enjoy an entertaining open-air concert featuring Alpine panoramas and rousing music. We look forward to celebrating our 100th anniversary with you. Come join us and enjoy a musical afternoon with a view!
