Fishing in Lake Lucerne

Fancy fishing in Weggis or Vitznau? Excellent idea, because our stretch of shoreline offers some of Switzerland's most scenic fishing.

Under our licence-free fishing rules, you can use a fishing rod, float and simple barbless hook with natural bait (e.g. worm, maggot, bread, maize) to fish free of charge from the publicly accessible stretches of shore. All other kinds of fishing require a licence that are subject to a charge.
