Visit the Stalder family's traditional distillery and combine the excursion with a carriage ride. The carriage collects you from the boat embarkation point in Weggis to bring you to the Stalder family farm and its magnificent fruit trees; it then drops you off in Weggis when you're done.
Meet the distiller and his products on a guided tour: Xaver Stalder shows you what it takes to obtain a refined distillate from the fresh fruit. The way to make a premium product like his cannot be learnt at school. Instead, Xaver Stalder relies on traditional knowledge, experience and a large measure of passion.
Visitors can taste eaux-de-vie such as kirsch, pomance brandy, vieille prune and other specialities.
Combine the excursion with a carriage ride from the boat station to the distillery.

The Stalder family has been producing eau-de-vie on the farm since 1910. In 2005 Xaver Stalder decided to give up dairy farming and focus entirely on the distillery – with great success. His twenty-plus products are appreciated by the local hospitality trade and by visitors from near and far who make a point of coming to the farm shop between Weggis and Greppen.
