The Räbalp alp farm lies at alt. 1124 metres directly on the footpath linking Seebodenalp with Rigi Känzeli. The views from the alp are unique and stunning.
The five Central Swiss lakes visible from here are Lakes Lucerne, Sempach, Baldegg, Hallwil and Zug. You also have amazing distant views of the mountains all the way to the Jura range.
The simple eatery on the Räbalp offers traditional cuisine: just what you need after a strenuous walk. It also offers accommodation in the form of a simple but comfy dormitory.
You can reach the alp from Küssnacht am Rigi by car, or on foot by taking the aerial cableway to Seebodenalp. You then walk from Seebodenalp via Ruodisegg to Räbalp, which will take you around 45 minutes.
Alternatively, it's a 40-minute or so walk from Rigi Kaltbad.
It can also be reached from Greppen: this ascent on a relatively steep path takes an hour and a half.
