The Eggisbühl catholic chapel is situated on a hilltop with great views above a vineyard, slightly off the road from Weggis to Hertenstein. The interior of the chapel is kept simple.

History

It is not known when the chapel was built. It belonged to the Eggisbühl manor of the Lords of Fleckenstein. They were noble lords from Lucerne who sought peace and quiet in a secluded spot by the lake during the summer months. When the manor house fell into disrepair, the municipality of Weggis bought the dilapidated buildings and the beautiful estate in 1835.
