Rigi Kaltbad - Rigi First - Unterstetten - Seeweg - Glettialp - Hinterbergen

From Rigi Kaltbad the hike leads flat along the former route of the Rigi-Kaltbad-Scheidegg-Railway (1874 to 1931). From Rigi First you can reach Unterstetten via a rocky path.

Breathtaking views from the vertical rock wall and enchanting nature characterise the path of natural treasures from Rigi Kaltbad to Hinterbergen. Throughout this tour, you will greet the mighty Alpine peaks within your horizon - partly even covered with "eternal snow".

A large part of the trail leads over lush alpine pastures. From Rigi First, 12 information boards provide insights into the biodiversity and natural treasures of the Rigi. The rocky structure, natural history and mild sea climate of the Rigi south face have contributed creating a rich flora and fauna. From Rigi Unterstetten follows a short ascent to the Seeweg (lake route), which leads via Glettialp all the way downhill to Hinterbergen. Lake Lucerne with its signature shape lies at your feet. From Hinterbergen the cable car will take you back to Vitznau.
